Holy Stone HS175D 4K GPS Drone for Beginners

I've been practicing with this HS175D for awhile.Now that I can fly it without crashing a lot,its been a great little pastime.I live in remote Alaska and its extremely useful for checking out strange noises at night without risking a run in with a bear or a mad momma moose.Saved me a couple times when a grizzly bear was in the trash.Noise/lights scared it off.Did have to replace a few propellers when she swatted it down.Still worked fine after. Only gripe I have is the phone clamp doesn't fit a large phone, Nokia G100.If you ever come up with a longer life battery,ill be first in line for a few.Even just parking it on the outhouse to use the camera making sure nothing is waiting for me is a big help.

A great beginner drone – we had a little bit of trouble getting it synced, but now it’s just a matter of practice.

I bought this drone 3 weeks ago and i am i very happy with the performance and features. It is very easy to set up and very suitable for beginners who would like to practice flying drones.

Great drone with very easy operation. Everything explained step by step, video guides and a very long flight time. On the plus side, satisfactory range. You can fly 200-300 m without any problems. The camera is also of good quality. Overall I am very satisfied.

This is my first drone, and it has been perfect for learning the basics. I have been flying for about four months now, with approx 25-30 flights. It has been very rugged and has held up to some less-than-ideal landings. The batteries continue to provide 20+ minutes of good flying each (on a full charge). The only repair I have had to make is to replace one broken propeller blade and that was due to pilot-error. Highly recommend this drone as a starter, especially for the price.

I especially enjoy the "Follow me" mode. Makes it easier to take pictures and videos especially when moving.

Love the drone. Had small problem with the remote and customer services helped instantly. Flys excellent.

great product.Had a small problem setting it up as motors wouldnt unlock. Contacted them , they replied straight away and was fixed quickly .

The drone works really well and is good value

So far I am very happy with this drone. It comes well packaged in it’s own carry case with dedicated compartments for the drone, spare battery and the controller plus a zip compartment for the manual, USB charge cables, spare props, etc.
It has been too windy to fly outdoors so I have been flying it indoors to get comfortable with how it handles. So far I am very impressed how easy it is to fly, even for someone like me who has never flown a drone before. Great little drone to learn on and have some fun.

The product is exactly how it's described. My husband has thoroughly enjoyed his drone.

While in flight I find it easy to use and a ton of fun once I caught onto the controller. Great maneuverability.

great product, awesome video. Take your time and read the manual it is all in there and you will be up in no time. if you have trouble reach out to vendor they are awesome.

I took a week to really put the HS175D though it's paces. The reason why is that I had purchased another maker of drone and was very disappointed not in just the performance but the app didn't work right all the time and their technical support had and answer but then they had another answer and another. Right away though when I opened my new Holy Stone, I could tell it was just made of better materials and parts. A GREAT Christmas Gift!

I had the opportunity to try out the HS175D and it flew very well It responded to all the commands from the transmitter with no problems I found it a bit tricky to pair and calibrate but it went very well once I got the hang of it

This weekend was a blast! This drone "kicks butt!" It did more than I thought it would, or actually, it made me look like a pro! I'd suggest this drone for a better skilled beginner. It's definitely worth it's price in fun. And hey, the pictures it takes are so clear!

Smooth take off and landing. It captures beautiful and crisp photos and videos. Superb battery life. Great for personal and professional use. Considering the price point, I would say go for it.

Play Video The HS175D is a good first drone for a beginner. It is really inexpensive and can resist crashes. I made a piloting mistake and I hit a tree and the drone survived the fall and snow in the engines. I was able to re calibrate and fly back the drone. The calibration is easy to perform and the instructions are well detailed in the application. The drone is under 250g and does not require registration. The application works fine with my phone (OnePlus 7 Pro). The application allows you to transfer video and image files from the drone directly without having to remove the micro SD card. The transport case is really small and nice, definitively the best drone carrying case I have. The follow me mode is working fine, bring your phone and RC with you and the drone will follow you. It is possible to fly the drone in low light environments. I fly it most of the time during the evening after work, as the night comes early during this time of the year.

This is my first time buying a drone. The Holy Stone GPS Drone HS175D seems to be easy to use, so I chose it without hesitation. Before I got it, I couldn’t help wondering how to use it, however, it comes with detailed instructions, which help me a lot! Also, it’s so fancy that it has a 4K UHD Camera, GPS auto return, and two batteries, providing a long flight experience. They attracted me. These functions surprise me on my first try! The photos and videos are very clear! That’s out of my expectation. There is an App, called HSGPSV5, that you need to download to help operate your drone. It would be better if you use it in nice weather. This is my first time using a drone, so I can't compare it with others. But I think it’s a really good choice and it’s very cost-effective. If you’re a beginner, you can’t miss it. Unfortunately, I’m still in the exploratory stage. If I have any problems in the future, I will leave a message or comment again. BTW, you don’t need to register it and get a drone pilot’s license, if you’re gonna use it in Canada.

All around nice drone for the $$. Made mistake flying it indoors, best fly it outdoors for good fun.

I have some difficulty with the setup The drone cannot connected. The agent decide after a few conversations to replace it free of charge. It is verry important to used a manufacturer with realy good service and Holy stone is one of them.

Worked as it should but went so high and it flew away. Lost it in the first 10 minutes using it. Won't but another drone again.

I can tell the product is awesome, but I think I received one with a defected motor.

I liked this drone very much. Very stable and easy to control. Comes with two batteries for around 45 minutes of enjoyment. Camera moves up and down 90 degrees, so excellent for video or still photos from high up. I have had a few drones in the past. So far, for the money this is the best one by far.

It can find before aiming for it, it...just...works! I mean to be honest I don't use most of the apps and stuff but I set it to circle me and it did it perfectly.

The drone flies very well and has many advanced features built in that that ensure it is safe and easy to fly. The only issue I had was with a rear motor that did not work. I contacted the seller they were very helpful and responsive. They are in process of shipping the replacement parts. Their email also included an instruction video on how to make the repair. I would definitely deal with this seller in the future.

"Return to Home" option is really amazing, it'll not let your drone stranded if proper procedure is being followed 5. It's pretty easy to learn as other holystone drones, quite a lot material on YouTube as well to make it easier Cons: 1. It's using micro USB cable to charge, it's not an issue but world has moved to USB C type almost 6 years ago Also Many people complaining about its just flying away which I found out is usually because of improper calibration or there are mobile towers nearby which interfere with It's signals, must avoid to fly near mobile towers if you don't wanna lose your bird

I use that mode a lot so I can take videos and pictures of myself from another angle without having to actually have the stick in my hand.ler(rechargeable yes!), a nice light case spare propellers, tools etc etc.
