From my experience, would give it 5 stars if you could see the information displayed on the transmitter better. In regular use, really hard to see in any kind of light. After spending some time with it, that being said I love this drone. Excellent for someone just starting out like me. Good video, steady and I thought it pretty straightforward to control in the air.
In regular use, best purchase I've ever made from Amazon. After spending some time with it, does everything the add mentioned. Straightforward to control in the air and takes great pictures.
I bought this drone for fun. I didn't expect to be wowed by this drone! Very easy to configure, control and calibrate. The range is fantastic. Goes up to 30 thousand feet. Had the video stable at 5000 feet at 300 feet. Beautiful shots and very fast drone. I have no complaints about anything I'm with this drone.
Highly recommend!👌
After spending some time with it, fun, fun, fun. So far, no regrets! For everyday flying, wife bought this for me.
The controls become manageable quickly and the flying experience is fairly steady. It is genuinely enjoyable for casual flying. It also works well as a casual gift or family activity. It has been a solid experience so far.
So far, i ordered this HS790 drone a an alternative to comparable products offered by DJI. Overall, this package includes all the necessary components you would expect in a similar "fly more combo" kit. From my experience, on the first note, this drone does not meet requirements to be in the sub 250g class drones as defined by the FAA, the 377g weight requires the drone to be registered with the FAA to comply with current laws in the US. In regular use, on a positive note, the HS790 does have an integrated Remote ID module on board that is also a FAA requirement. After spending some time with it, the included batteries state up to 60 minutes total flight time, where I found the actual time through my flights to be an average of 19 to 24 minutes each. For everyday flying, naturally, battery consumption is based on many factors like mainly camera usage and wind conditions. So far, now for the camera. Overall, unfortunately, this is the biggest disadvantage for the HS790 having a tiny 1/3.2 inch sensor. From my experience, even the most affordable current DJI drone has a 1/2.3 inch sensor, almost twice the size of the HS790. In regular use, the photos and video taken with the HS790 are not bad at all and most non-professional users probably won't notice much difference. Overall, this is a nice drone that is straightforward to control in the air and has several advanced features. For everyday flying, in the end, at the current price offered, you probably could find a better value for a similar featured drone that doesn't require the additional legal compliances.
Overall, great drone for me. From my experience, i liked the idea of some of the extra features included on this drone compared to another name brand drone at the same price point. In regular use, extra batteries, gps tracking, etc. After spending some time with it, i received the drone extremely quick with excellent packaging through Amazon. For everyday flying, the case for the drone stores the drone, batteries, charger, cords, spare props, tools, cords, and paperwork with ease and organization.I took my first flight and had some major issues (probably operator error.) I immediately called customer support on a Sunday morning. So far, surprisingly, they were available. Overall, they were able to help me with ease! From my experience, if the drone and features didn’t sell itself, the customer support from this company is well worth it!I have flown the drone a couple of times since with ease and confidence knowing I have customer support if needed.I haven’t been able to test the true runtime per charge. I have been using it in the air in near 0° temps a couple of times with the same battery. After spending some time with it, probably about 25 mins of flight time. For everyday flying, i’m sure it would be longer in warmer more favorable temps.I am a complete beginner at using it in the air drones and this drone and company has been a great, exciting experience. So far, thanks Holy Stone!
From my experience, i am in the real estate business. After spending some time with it, highly recommend. In regular use, i purchase properties monthly. After spending some time with it, the ability to see the property from a sky view is crucial to my inspections. For everyday flying, there are simply sections of any property that you can's get a close up unless you have a tall ladder and the space surrounding it to scale it safely. Overall, this feels like where a camera drone comes into play. Overall, the Holy Stone HS790 6K with GPS resolves the issue. From my experience, i am able to get closeups of all 4 corners of the property with high resolution pictures and videos ensuring the structure is in good standing. In regular use, this drone provided more than enough firepower for my needs. After spending some time with it, in use, it is good for 30,000 feet transmission, can stay in the air for up to 60 minutes, can do night shots, and is able to follow me around. For everyday flying, it comes with dual batteries, outdoor power bank, and much more. So far, now, keep in mind, I also use this drone when outdoors and camping. In use, it feels very useful in spotting potential dangers or nearby hazards. From my experience, the 3 axis Gimbal ensures smooth pictures and videos. In regular use, this drone is a beginner to mid user device. In use, it feels easy to get comfortable and maintain. For everyday flying, i just started taking it to the beach for panoramic videos of the coastline. So far, i see this device as very useful for both business and personal purposes. In use, it feels built well, feels solid, and incorporates the latest technology at an affordable price. From my experience, so far it has been very reliable with proper maintenance. In regular use, i am happy with this product.
The Holy Stone HS790 delivers an impressive using it in the air and filming experience with its 6K camera and smooth 3-axis gimbal that captures incredibly steady, high-quality footage. After spending some time with it, the long 9KM/30,000ft transmission range and 60-minute combined flight time make it great for exploring wide areas without interruption. For everyday flying, features like Follow Me, AI Night Shot, and AI QuickShots add creative options that make shooting professional-looking videos easy, even for first-time users. The GPS positioning helps keep the drone steady and reliable in the air, giving extra confidence while using it in the air. Overall, a powerful, feature-packed drone that offers excellent performance for anyone wanting crisp aerial photos and smooth cinematic videos.
After spending some time with it, the Holy Stone HS790 feels like a big step up from the toy-grade drones I’ve flown in the past. For everyday flying, setup was straightforward: charge the batteries, install the app, follow the calibration prompts, and it was ready to go. So far, once in the air, it locks into position nicely and holds its hover even in a reasonable breeze, so I’m not constantly fighting the sticks just to keep it in one place. Controls are smooth rather than “twitchy,” which makes it a lot more confidence-inspiring for careful using it in the air and video work than for racing around. The camera and gimbal are the stars here. From my experience, the 3-axis gimbal does a great job keeping footage steady, and the 4K video looks crisp with good detail and natural color when the light is decent. In regular use, the drone also handled low inside light better than I expected, which makes me optimistic about what it can do outdoors at golden hour. After spending some time with it, for my own use, I’ve mainly been taking sweeping shots over property, and the footage has looked far more “pro” than I’d expect from a drone in this price range. For everyday flying, there is a compact bit of FPV lag and the gimbal can struggle if you throw it into hard turns, but for slower, cinematic moves it really shines.Flight features are generous for a mid-priced model. So far, gPS lock, Return to Home, Follow Me, Waypoints, QuickShots, and “smart” modes like night enhancement all work together to make it easier to get interesting shots without constantly thinking about every tiny correction. Overall, return to Home has brought the drone back close to the takeoff point reliably in my tests, but because there’s no obstacle avoidance, you do still need to fly with a clear path in mind and avoid trees, power lines, and buildings. The built-in Remote ID is a nice touch for using it in the air in the U.S., and since this drone is over 250 g, it’s worth remembering you may need to register it depending on where you live and fly.runtime per charge is solid for this class. In regular use, with two included smart batteries, real-world flights in normal modes come in somewhere in the low- to mid-20-minute range per pack, which is enough for several short flights or one longer session. Charging isn’t lightning quick, and the hub only charges one battery at a time, so planning ahead is important if you want a full afternoon of using it in the air. For everyday flying, the included carrying case, extra props, and multi-battery charger (and in some bundles, a power-bank style hub) make it feel like a complete package instead of something you have to accessorize heavily. The controller is comfortable and the basic controls are easy to get comfortable, but there are a few quirks. So far, the app experience is similar in spirit to the big names but not as polished. Overall, getting live video and all the features working smoothly can take some fiddling, and on a bright day the phone screen in the controller can be hard to see. From my experience, depending on which app version you use, you may run into occasional glitches, brief video freezes, or extra steps to get footage off the SD card, especially if you’re on Mac or iOS. None of this is a deal-breaker, but it does mean there’s a bit of a getting familiar with curve and the software could stand a bit more refinement.Durability has been better than I expected for a folding drone. After spending some time with it, the arms and landing legs aren’t indestructible, but they’ve handled normal handling and a couple of less-than-perfect landings without giving up. For everyday flying, as with any drone, a hard hit into a tree or the ground can crack plastic or dent props, so it’s still important to fly in open spaces while you’re getting familiar with and to treat the “Return to Home” feature as a safety net, not a license to send it blindly into obstacles.Overall, the HS790 delivers a lot of value: a stabilized 4K camera on a 3-axis gimbal, steady GPS flight, useful intelligent modes, good range, and a thoughtful bundle of accessories. So far, on the downside, the app can be finicky, charging takes some patience, and the lack of obstacle avoidance means you still need to be careful about where you fly. Overall, if you’re moving up from cheaper drones and want something that feels more “serious” without jumping all the way to a flagship brand price, this is a very appealing middle ground.
It feels approachable for someone who is still learning the controls. The controls become manageable quickly and the flying experience is fairly steady. Battery use is one of the main practical considerations. It has been a solid experience so far.
So far, i own several holy stone drones, a hs175d, hs320s, hs210, and they are fun to play with. From my experience, great drone for 350.00. Overall, the hs790 is not a play toy like the others, it is exactly what the say it is.
From my experience, this drone was relatively easy to get set up. In regular use, the user experience is very similar to that of DJI, only not quite as refined. After spending some time with it, there is very minor flight drift in the horizontal directions, mine drifted X+. For everyday flying, i was able to tune this out.. So far, not very intuitive procedure. In use, it is a compact slow, not quite as snappy as DJI but at 1/4 of the price, I can live with it. Overall, this feels like not a toy, it's very much a profession drone with good video quality but not for photography. In regular use, i have been able to use this for mapping a factory floor and pulling data on a solar field after a storm. After spending some time with it, the value is unbeatable. For everyday flying, having a GNSS chip inside is quite an amazing feature for a drone in this price range which is the singular thing which sets it apart.
The overall experience has been positive and the drone does what I expected for casual use. Overall, I am pleased with it.
In regular use, nothing everything was fineI think is a good service.
Overall, this feels like a really fun drone. After spending some time with it, similar drones I have looked at were 8X the price making this one a great value in my opinion. In use, it feels extremely steady. So far, we tested it on a pretty windy day and it had no trouble staying put. If you are new to using it in the air these things it is very easy. From my experience, nothing like the RC helicopters I dabbled with 15 years ago! In regular use, very beginner friendly. After spending some time with it, if you just want to fly, and aren't worried about the video or GPS tracking, you can use the controller and just buzz around the neighborhood (within sight of it). For everyday flying, for video you obviously need a phone or tablet. So far, we flew over some of the houses in the area with ease looking around from above with an iPad connected. Overall, if you want to take advantage of GPS functions (like following you or automatically returning when out of visual range) you need a cellular connection. From my experience, it comes with two batteries and we got about an hour out of each one which I felt was more than enough flight time. In regular use, in use, it feels function filled and breaks down into a really nice carrying case when you're out of power and ready to head home.
For everyday flying, absolutely awesome compact drone, everything works excellent and the night mode is so spot on. They did a fantastic job on this steady compact drone.
Overall, this feels like my first drone and it totally exceeded my expectations. Overall, i picked up the Holy Stone HS790 mainly for travel videos and just having some fun, and honestly, it’s been a blast to fly. Super smooth, quick to respond and manageable to control, and the camera quality is really good. The 4K video is super clear and detailed. In regular use, what really makes a difference though is the 3-axis gimbal , it keeps everything steady even when the drone’s moving around a lot or there’s some wind. I’ve gotten footage that looks way more pro than I thought I’d be able to get.runtime per charge is solid — I love that it comes with two batteries, and I’ve gotten close to 30 minutes per battery depending on how hard I’m using it in the air. For everyday flying, the range is crazy too… I haven’t pushed it to the full distance, but I’ve flown it pretty far out and still had a smooth connection with zero lag.The GPS features are awesome — Follow Me, Waypoint, Auto Return — they all work well. So far, i also really like the “AI Night Shot” and QuickShots modes for getting cinematic footage without having to think too much. Overall, the drone basically does the cool stuff for you. Setup was super easy, and it folds down compact enough to throw in a backpack. If I had to point out anything, I’d say the batteries take a compact while to charge, and it’s a compact weird that they give you a 3 battery charger and only include 2 batteries. In regular use, also, in really bright sunlight the screen on my phone could be a bit hard to see. After spending some time with it, but those are minor things compared to everything else this drone offers.Overall: If you’re looking for a drone that’s fun to fly, takes great footage, and doesn’t cost a fortune, this is a killer option. For everyday flying, i’ve had a ton of fun with it so far and definitely recommend it to anyone from.
It feels approachable for someone who is still learning the controls. The controls become manageable quickly and the flying experience is fairly steady. Battery use is one of the main practical considerations. Overall, I am pleased with it.
From my experience, this Holy Stone camera drone has many good built-in features with 6k camera, 4K/30FPS Video, 9KM/30000ft Transmission, Follow Me, AI Night Shot, AI QuickShots, 60 Min Flight.... In regular use, the drone is compact as it can be folded for storage in the very nicely designed carrying case which can also carry all of the accessories that came with the drone. In regular use, the setup is relatively easy and quick. After spending some time with it, it comes with all of the accessories needed including some spare parts for later replacements. For everyday flying, it also comes with extra battery which is a huge plus. So far, although it says 60 min flight in the description, I noticed the battery power was at one line after about 30 mins of use. The drone seems to be very steady hovering and the controls are simple to operate. From my experience, the maneuvering and controlling the drone can be improved as the turns take time.
In regular use, the Holy Stone HS790 is great! After spending some time with it, i use it for recreation, mostly getting aerial photos and videos of my family's land. For everyday flying, the 3-axis gimbal keeps everything super steady, even on fairly windy days, so my video always comes out smooth and professional-looking. So far, i have really enjoyed being able to shoot crisp 4K videos, and while I can't remember exactly how far I flew the drone, the range is impressive and I’m always amazed with how much ground I can cover. In use, it is been awesome to explore places I can't reach on foot! The dual batteries are a big plus for longer using it in the air sessions. From my experience, setup was super simple, and it’s packed with beginner-friendly features like GPS auto return, one-key takeoff, and a night mode for enhanced visibility. In regular use, the variety of flight modes; Follow Me, Waypoints, and QuickShots make it easy to grab creative shots. After spending some time with it, when I’m done, the drone folds up and fits perfectly into the included travel case. The controls are intuitive for newbies but still offer manual options as I’ve gotten more confident. For everyday flying, for the price, the HS790 delivers a lot of value: smooth 4K video, smart features, and a sturdy build. So far, totally recommend it for drone fans!
After spending some time with it, i really like the design and concept of this drone. It’s very straightforward to control in the air, even for first-time users, and the quiet motor makes it less distracting compared to other drones this size. So far, the controller has excellent range, and the drone holds steady in the air.The video quality is sharp, and it takes very nice pictures both in daylight and at night. Overall, night flights are especially fun since you can clearly see the drone’s position. From my experience, i also like that it comes with a charger and a convenient carrying bag.Overall, a well-made drone with solid features, great flight performance, and clear camera quality.
For everyday flying, i already own a few Holy Stone drones and I have to say this is by far their best drone yet, the drone is very easy to setup and it definitely easy enough for someone just starting out to fly, the drone does weigh around 375g so it will need to be registered with the FAA, but one cool feature is that the drone has built-in remote ID, the camera is on this drone is really decent, it sets on a 3-axis gimbal so the videos are very clear with no shakiness to them, even when using it in the air at higher speeds, I also like how smooth the up and down camera angle adjustment is, the one feature that I really though is that this drone uses a digital connection with your cellphone and controller, so your not having to connect your phone to the drone via wifi, I have definitely noticed a difference in the latency and stableness of the live video feed with type of connection, I have also notice a big difference in the range the drone will go without losing the video feed, the stated range is 30,000ft but I have only been able to get around 20,000 to 23,000 feet before the video feed starts to clitch or freeze up, but I am still very happy with range, the drone also includes 2 batteries and a charging hub that can also be used as a backup power bank, the runtime per charge is ok, I have been able to get roughly 23 to 25 mins per battery, all of the GPS failsafe features worked great and the drone landed within a few feet of where it took off from when using the return to home feature, all in all I am pretty happy with the overall quality and performance of this drone and for the price in my opinion it's a pretty worth the price.
